The first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer was an explosion of American culture and Florida (Leonida) identity. Rockstar Games has always been known for parodying and faithfully representing different subcultures, which is the perfect breeding ground for founding a Roleplay Clan, Crew or gang.
Although we still cannot found gangs in-game, these are the urban tribes we have already seen confirmed in the video and on which you can base your Discord community.
1. The “Dirt Bike Gang” (Urban Bikers)
Forget the classic Harley Davidson bikers of The Lost MC. The trailer shows us hordes of young people paralyzing highway traffic with dirt bikes and quads (ATV).
- Aesthetics: Sports shirts, motocross helmets without visors, bandanas covering the face and sneakers.
- Idea for your Crew: A street gang dedicated to illegal racing, quick robberies fleeing through narrow alleys where the police cannot enter, and extortion of local mechanic shops.
2. The Swamp Men (Thrills & Spills)
Kelly County and the Grassrivers are hostile territory. We saw people covered in mud fighting and driving airboats among alligators.
- Aesthetics: Denim overalls with no shirt, trucker hats, homemade tattoos and a lot of dirt.
- Idea for your Crew: A family (in the style of the O’Driscolls or the incestuous family from RDR2) that controls the illegal distillation of alcohol or drugs deep in the swamp. Hostile to any city player who steps on their territory.
3. High Roller / Jet Set of Vice City
In contrast to the mud, the trailer shows us luxurious skyscrapers, gigantic yachts and exclusive parties on neon-lit rooftops.
- Aesthetics: Expensive suits, supercars, gold chains and cigars.
- Idea for your Crew: A white-collar crime syndicate (modern Cartel or Mafia). Dedicated to money laundering, buying legal properties such as nightclubs to use as a front, and bribing the future police.
