The clan system, historically known as Crews through the Rockstar Games Social Club, will undergo a massive evolution in the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto VI. It will no longer be just about wearing the same color t-shirt; Crews in Leonida will be true criminal organizations.
New Crew System Features
Based on the improvements Rockstar introduced over the years in GTA V and Red Dead Online, we can expect the following features in GTA 6:
- Shared Safehouses: Crews will be able to acquire joint properties, such as mansions on Starfish Island or underground chop shops in Little Haiti, funded with clan money.
- Complex Hierarchies: Specific roles for members, from accountants managing smuggling profits, to ‘Enforcers’ tasked with protecting shipments.
- Gang Vehicle Fleets: Unified customization. Leaders will be able to set official liveries for Crew cars, sharing huge garages for team use.
How to recruit and find a Crew
The official Rockstar Social Club page (or its next-gen equivalent) will allow searching for Crews by tags: competitive, racing, roleplay, or Heists. In addition, in-game matchmaking will prioritize placing you with your gang mates in freeroam sessions to ensure you always have backup on the streets of Vice City.
