Any clan leader knows that success in a massive multiplayer game is not forged inside the game, but outside of it. Discord is the true headquarters of any Crew or Roleplay faction.
If you want your Vice City gang to be respected, you need an impeccable base of operations long before Rockstar opens the servers. Here we explain how to structure your server.
1. The Role Hierarchy
A chaotic server scares away good players. You need strict permissions so that no one has access to confidential high-command channels.
- The Boss / Don / President: Total control of the server.
- Right Hand (Underboss): They have permissions to mute, kick, or accept recruits.
- Official Members (Soldiers): Trusted players who have access to the “Economy” or “Heists” channels.
- Recruits (Prospects): They only see a couple of public channels and the voice chat for tryouts. Their goal is to earn respect to rise to the Member rank.
2. Essential Channels
Don’t create 40 empty channels. Less is more. Public Category:
#welcome: Read-only. Explains the history and rules of your Crew.#recruitment: Where new people apply by filling out a form.
Private Category (Members Only):
#important-notices: To coordinate play times or urgent meetings.#arsenal-log: A text channel to note down who has the shared weapons or the group’s money.📻 Frequency 1: Main patrol voice channel.
3. Bot Configuration
Add bots like Dyno or Carl-bot to manage auto-roles (for example, people assigning themselves if they play on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S), and a music or mini-game bot to keep the community active during this long wait until 2026.
Early Recruitment
The best Crews are forming right now. Don’t sell smoke by promising castles; be honest in your recruitment by saying: “We are a group of adults looking to form a motorcycle club for when the game comes out. We are playing other games in the meantime to bond”. People value honesty over fake hype.
